CARE & CLEANING OF SURFACES COATED WITH MULTICOAT SYSTEMS

AFTER MULTICOAT SYSTEM HAS BEEN APPLIED:

MULTICOAT systems are cementitious, and require sufficient time to cure. Foot traffic should be avoided for the first 24 hours after the deck has been completed. Patio furniture, potted plants, etc. should not be placed directly over the completed system for at least one week (potted plants should be put on adequate stands above the deck. NOT on the deck’s surface). MULTICOAT surface coatings (COLORSEAL and CLEARSEALER) are highly recommended where an early maintained surfaced is desired.

MAINTENANCE:

Periodic cleaning is required. a garden hose with a jet nozzle is ideal for washing down the MULTICOAT surface when dirt, leaves, etc. are found on the deck. Most stains can be removed with dishwashing (electric type) detergent diluted with water. Scrub vigorously with a stiff nylon bristle brush and rinse off thoroughly. If there are stubborn tire marks or grease stains, use a light solution of TRI-SODIUM PHOSPHATE (TSP). Scrub with a nylon brush. Immediately rinse off all cleaning solution. DO NOT allow cleaner time to soak into surface.

MAINTAINABILITY:

There is no warranty regarding maintainability of the MULTICOAT surface, expressed or implied. However, the recommendations listed above are made in good faith by MULTICOAT CORPORATION.
