Stampable Overlay

Application & Use:

MIXING OVERLAY STAMP MIX is field mixed with clean potable water to desired consistency based upon scope of application. Add no more than 1½ gallons of water per bag. Mix vigorously with a Multicoat Cage Mixer to disperse all lumps and to thoroughly wet all particles. Adjust to desired consistency by addition of dry material or small amount of water. Mix thoroughly for a maximum of 3 minutes. For best results allow material to set for 3 to 5 minutes, then add a small amount of water and re-break the material.

OVERLAY STAMP MIX is typically applied via gauge rake to a consistent thickness of not more than 1/4”. Be sure to keep a wet edge to prevent cold joints from occurring. Allow STAMP MIX to progress to a stiff plastic condition prior to application of the stamps. Spray stamp mats with stamp release spray and place onto Overlay Stamp Mix and imprint to desired texture and effect. Mats will have to be cleaned and release spray applied periodically to prevent sticking.

COLOR: OVERLAY STAMP MIX should be allowed to dry overnight. The entire surface should be hosed and scrubbed down to remove any remaining release material which has not evaporated. We recommend the use of our MUILTI-STAIN for the final color. Follow directions for MULTI-STAIN found on the pails or instruction sheet.

Consider MULTI-GRIP for added anti-slip protection.

CURING: OVERLAY STAMP MIX will harden in approx. 24 hours, and will reach its full strength potential in 28 days. Curing time will vary due to weather conditions, thickness, substrate absorption, etc. Material should be protected from weather elements for a minimum of 24 hours.
