Multicoat PONDS & WATER FEATURES (AG) System offers a completely waterproof solution to projects that are subject to high movement, water loss, and/or are located above the soil level. This membrane driven solution provides a long-lasting barrier from all elements and risks from harming your project. This system should be chosen cautiously over our universal SHIELD KOTE system in areas that are on grade or below grade to prevent issues stemming from negative side hydrostatic pressure.
MULASTICOAT waterproof membrane 40 sqft/gallon
POND KOTE waterproof membrane 120 sq. ft.

Apply Vapor Shield with a pump sprayer in conjunction with water, back to back. Repeat for a total of 2 coats. Allow 24 hours to dry.

Apply Scratch Kote 2000 with a hopper gun, pressure sprayer or a ¾”-1¼” nap roller. Applied material should peak, not slump.

Stir with hand paddle. Roll, brush or spray Mulasticoat over the area to be waterproofed in two (2) coats. Embed Polyester Stitch Bond Fabric immediately during the application of the first coat over all flashing, plane changes, and joints and apply additional material on top of it. Allow to dry thoroughly between coats.

Using a trowel, hopper gun, or magic trowel, apply Pond Coat to the surface at the desired thickness as long as it is under 1/4″. In some cases, shrinkage cracks may appear, simply apply extra material to those areas upon completion.

A: Yes. Allow material to dry 7 to 10 days prior to filling with water. After filling, run circulation pumps/filters followed by a light brushing to remove any surface containments prior to adding fish. Longer dry time will be required for interior applications.
A: Yes as long as you mix the colorant with the water prior to adding the dry mix to it. You should not mix the colorant in after it has been mixed with water.
A: Yes, we recommend approximately 92-100% removal of all old coatings prior to the application of this system.
A: No. MULASTICOAT creates a uniform membrane and is not designed to be a “universal” material that can bond with any coating.
